WYATT, IDA FRANCES

January 31, 2013 Leave A Condolence

WYATT,

Ida was born August 17, 1919 and passed on the night of January 21, 2013. Ida was the most loving and caring mother of 7 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.She unconditionally loved and cared for her family and ensured everyone was always taken care of. Ida began her career as an elementary school teacher in Des Moines, Iowa where she met the love of her life, Harold Wyatt. They were married 65 years and God granted them the joy of celebrating their monumental anniversary together before Harold passed in April 2010. Ida moved to Arizona with her family in 1957 for the health of her daughter who had asthma and needed the dry Arizona climate. Ida taught at Saint Simon and Jude school from 1961-1986. She was a devoted Catholic and lived her faith at all times. She was an excellent role model to her family, peers, and students.

Ida loved and missed her sister Ruth, who passed at age 21. They were best friends when growing up and her memory always brought happiness to Ida. At the end of her life, Ida was looking forward to seeing her “handsome man,” Harold and she has now, faithfully, joined him in heaven. Ida will be deeply missed by her family who will always remember her and the endless amounts of love she leaves here in this world, even after her passing. Her prayers, strength and love for her family are her legacy to this world and those of us left behind. Her years of teaching first graders at Saint Simon and Jude gave hundreds of children a strong foundation. Her students will also miss the teacher who taught them the best hand-writing and the fundamental skills they needed in order to achieve the maximum benefit from their educational careers.

Ida is survived by 6 of her children, Mike, Bobby, Cathy, Peggy, Pat and Judie; her seven grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren and her brothers Warren and Donald Angerer.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 8th at 10am with a Rosary at 9:30am, at Ss. Simon & Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Avenue. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
