YOUNG,

91, of Phoenix, AZ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away February 18, 2017. Irene was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 17, 1925 to Michael and Mary Ellen McGlone. She was a loving homemaker and an accomplished bowler. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Young. She is survived by her two sons, Jack of Gilbert and Mike of Mesa; daughter, Patricia Barton of Flagstaff; 10 grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Elaine, Seth, Michael, Becki, Katie, Cari, Daniel, Kimi and great grandchildren, Michael, Austin, River, Ryan, Chloe, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Aubre and Brynlee. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix.

    Patti, Jack, Michael, and families,
    Sincere sympathy to all of you. Aunt Irene was a wonderful person, friend, aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt to all of us in New Jersey. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her as the sweet kind person she was. We all loved her and will always have fond and loving memories of her. Niece Pat, Great Niece and Nephew Pam and Richie and families.
